Today a press conference was held for the local media and some of the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) staff not already familiar with the project. In this photo Bill Stone (crouching) explains the equipment to Jim Stevenson (left), Senior Biologist with the DEP; Eloise Weymouth of the Wakulla News (with back to camera); and Jill Heinerth, Mike Stevens, and Tara Tanaka in the background [photo ©1998 Barbara Anne am Ende].

In this closer view, Bill Stone shows a scooter-mounted rebreather. In front, two additional MK5 rebreathers are on display [photo ©1998 Barbara Anne am Ende].

The dual rebreather system was tested for the first time in Wakulla Spring Basin. This initial test was done in preparation for a dress rehearsal mission tomorrow.
