June, 1998 Field Test

During June, 1998, a week long field test of the newly designed equipment was conducted at Madison Blue Spring and Wakulla Spring. While the components had each been tested, this was the first time the digital wall mapper was used in a cave. Upon demonstration that the equipment worked, the State of Florida issued the permit for the 3 month Wakulla 2 expedition.
